Flower basket - A basket carried by the wedding flower girls holding flower petals that are tossed down the aisle before the bride makes her entrance.

Father of the Bride – Traditionally pays for the wedding and escorts the bride down the aisle.

Favors - Small gifts given to all guests at a wedding as a thank you for their attendance.

Fiancé – An engaged man to be married.

Fiancée - An engaged woman to be married.

Finger Tip - A popular length of wedding veil which extends to the fingertips.

Fish Bowl - A centerpiece made with a bowl used in the center of the reception tables.

Flower Girls or Flower Children – Young girls that walk down the isle, before the bride, scattering flower petals.

Flyaway - A layered veil that barely reaches the shoulder.

Fondant - A sweet flexible icing made from sugar, syrup and gelatin that is used to be draped over the wedding cake for decoration.

Formal - Dress codes that apply to a wedding, such as black tie.

Fountain - This is a wedding veil style that reaches either to the shoulder or elbow where a part of it is gathered up atop the bride head and the rest is set loose to fall around her face or elbow.

Full Dress Jacket - Worn at a very formal wedding.  It’s short in the front and has two long tails in the back.

French Cuffs – These are shirt cuffs which are folded over and closed with cuff links

Fitted Sleeves - Sleeves fitting very close to the arm

Floor-length Dress – A wedding dress's hemline that falls 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches from the floor.
